President : Mrs. Kalpana Ghai
Mrs. Kalpana Ghai has done her Hotel Management from Pusa New Delhi, and her associated degree in Business Management from New Jersey. She has worked as a Banquet Manager for Maurya Sheraton, New Delhi (ITC Group of Hotels), Food & Beverage Director, Taj Group of Hotels in Washington D.C., Also has had experience as a Manager with CITCO, Chandigarh, and taught at Dr. Ambedkar,s School of Hotel Management as a teacher for some time.
In 1997, She was taken to a village Haripur in Panchkula and found 25 young children living in impoverished conditions then along with a group of determined citizen undertook the process of procuring funds to set up a new building for Balsadan association.
Today Balsadan has 50 children and has a three floor building with a sewing center , computer center , entertainment center for kids and a functional Beauty parlour.
All children go to school / colleges and Balsadan has undertaken to settle them in professional courses and thereafter has conducted 11 marriages for its orphan / destitute girls.
Mrs Kalpana ghai has been honoured with the HARYANA Ratnan from the earlier Governerof Haryana , Dr AK Kidwar , for exceptional services for the girl child as well as outstanding work for the development of destitute and orphan girls.
